I honestly don't think I can do that again without some sleep. However Alisa Weilerstein's Fragments; Labyrinth, based on Bach’s Fourth Cello Suite, kicks off at 5pm. So back I go. #ClassicalMusic @classicalmusic

It was all rather intense. An hour's performance without break. Me on the edge of madness because of a lack of sleep. Bach’s Third Cello Suite fragmented with specially commissioned pieces by young composers. Would recommend. #ClassicalMusic @classicalmusic

今日は團伊玖磨の命日。2001年、中国旅行中に心不全を起こし、蘇州市の病院にて没。享年77。

一時期「パイプのけむり」をはじめとする彼のエッセイは一通り読んでいた。この時期岩城宏之はじめクラシックの音楽家たちが挙ってエッセイを書いていたが、その中でも團伊玖磨のエッセイは早い時期から連載をスタートしていた印象がある。

今日はポール・デュカスの命日。1935年、パリにて没。

遺骸は火葬され、パリ・ペール・ラシェーズ墓地の納骨堂 https://maps.app.goo.gl/NZXT6CspCcmD3BVz9 の4938番に遺灰が収められている。

「魔法使いの弟子」が有名だが、死の10年ほど前に自作の大半を破棄してしまったので、現在は他に「ラ・ペリ」など20点ほどしか作品が伝わっていない。
