it's Monday, which means it's time for where I pick the mood and you pick a song or songs you think fits the mood!

Today's mood is going to be "explosive".

The song or songs can be about or have literal explosions in it, it can be a song that exploded onto the scene or into pop culture or exploded a band/person's career, or whatever you want! It's up to you to interpret the mood!

Be sure to include the hashtag and the mood "explosive".

If you can, include a link to the song so others can hear too!

Ariadne auf Naxos review – Laurent Pelly’s staging has plenty of wit but lacks weight
          By Erica Jeal

Glyndebourne, East SussexThe director hits perfectly all the comic marks of Strauss’s opera about an opera, but there’s few insights in a work that should be moving as well as frothy and fun.

I had the honor to be part of Berkshire Choral International singing at the Newman center last night, at the University of Denver. Nice venue.

We sang Mozart, plus a couple of less well known pieces by under-represented composers. The Requiem in D Minor by José Maurício Nunes Garcia had tears in my eyes. Dixit Dominus by Marianna Martines was just exaltant.

View of the concert hall from the front row of the chorus. The back of the orchestra is in foreground, and a dimly lit but full house is in the background. The hall is a modern design with orchestra seats, and three tiers above.

                              youtu.be/YfZ3PGLD2YA?si=aeKx6n

I'd never listened to this symphony before yesterday.

What a treat this blend of the droll and the lyrical was! I particularly liked the use of the woodwinds.

I'm also sadly reminded of how rich Russian culture can be, and how deeply it has been perverted by autocracy and aggression.
