This one is from 1982 and it’s the official fan club album from Squire. I was so envious of my wealthier friend who owned this back then, but I had to wait until 2015 when it was reissued in this limited edition of 500. I snapped one up!

An album cover featuring a plain white background with teal text. The text reads "SOMETHING OLD SOMETHING NEW SOMETHING BORROWED..." prominently on the left, and "THE OFFICIAL SQUIRE FAN CLUB ALBUM" on the right.

Continuing the cleaning/playing…. This is 1985’s Wild Child from The Untouchables, on Stiff Records. Self proclaimed as ‘America’s first ska band’. They called themselves ‘mods who played ska’. This LP arrived a little too late to have any real impact on the UK mod revival scene. Good album though.

Last one for now. Cleaning my mod revival collection (in case you didn’t realise) and this is one of my all time favourites. Mick Talbot’s first band. Just fantastic tunes for the era. We loved it.

The image features a vinyl album cover titled "Face in the Crowd" by Merton Parkas. It shows four young men dressed in suits, standing on a beach with a pier in the background. The album name and band name are displayed prominently.

Continuing the theme from yesterday, another mod revival (or mod revival adjacent) compilation. This time from Elton John’s Rocket Record Company. The first outing on vinyl for The Lambrettas.

A black and white album cover displaying a poster with the text "499 2139" at the top. Below, there are 13 squares featuring silhouette figures in various group poses.

I’ve got volumes 3 and 4 of Le Beat Bespoké, obscure, overlooked 60s dance tracks compiled by Rob Bailey of The New Untouchables. Gotta get them all! Le Beat is an annual event still going strong with the next festival Easter, 2026.

A vintage turntable with a spinning vinyl record is displayed alongside a cover of "Le Beat Bespoke 3," featuring two women in stylish outfits. Behind the turntable are framed artworks, adding to the nostalgic atmosphere.

Another compilation, this one from Safari Records. A repress from 1981 and the much better version including three tracks from Purple Hearts missing from the 1980 original.

A vinyl record player features a black vinyl record with a colorful label, set beside an album cover titled "Uppers on the South Downs." The cover displays black and white photos of various bands.

Your "Agile" process is probably why your delivery feels chaotic.

If your predictability depends on story point Tetris, “Scrum-fall” sprints, or the big-batch theatre of an Agile Release Train, you're not taming complexity. You're institutionalising it.

Unevenness in how work flows is Mura, and it’s the real source of waste. Part 2 of my blog series breaks down how to measure this and how to actually fix it.
