it's Monday, which means it's time for where I pick the mood and you pick a song or songs you think fits the mood!

Today's mood is going to be "predictable".

The song or songs may be about being predictable or predictions, it might be a song that's not very bold, or very predictable for what the artist/band produces or predictable for the time period, etc. You can interpret it however you wish!

Be sure to include the hashtag and the mood "predictable". If you can, include a link to the song so others can hear too!

I personally find Brahms's sextets to be far superior to his symphonies. They have intricacy and intimacy that his larger works do not.

Brahms in symphonic form isn't awful, but he is frequently lugubrious and clichéd. It's much harder to be that way in string chamber music. The string quartet/sextet also allows for far more experimentation.

The first of his two sextets is my favorite, fwiw.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the world needs an infrastructure built around discovering arts first (unbiased by marketing and manipulation) and selling arts second.
