am a Head Start baby. Union Settlement in El Barrio was one of the test sites. it started in 1965. twas born in 66. was 3-4 years old when i was in the program.

Union Settlement was also a test site for Sesame Street and that’s why one of my earliest memories of was identifying triangles and other shapes. was an old ass woman when i found out my baby voice is in a 15 seconds segment on shapes.

anyways… am a proud Head Start baby. most likely why am a smart ass 😁

                                        BREAKING - Luigi Mangione this morning plead guilty to two Federal Stalking charges.

                                        Meanwhile in the NY State Murder case Luigi has maintined a not builty plea.

                                        Given his lawyers statements outside of the court it appears Luigi copped the lower charges and now will rely upon double jeopardy protections to fight the larger charge of murder.

                                                The REI shop in Soho, closed last month. One of my strongest memories of that location:

                                                I once noticed the bra area divided into three sections: "Comfort" (basically a hammock approach), "Support" (structure that allows limited movement), and "Control" (strapping and locking everything down to achieve zero jouncing). This immediately struck me as a Goldilocks-type metaphor. A manager ought to go for Supporting their subordinates, rather than trying to completely Control them, or going too far in the other direction of laissez-faire Comfort.

                                                  Happy Monday! I'm here to give my review of The Rocky Horror Show at Studio 54 (from a Sunday afternoon) I will CW in case of any spoilers.

On the right side is the back of a seat that is wrapped in silver tape. The silver tape all over the backs of the chairs reflected some of the overhead lights casting everything in a shade of green Just above the play bill is a gold statue of a naked person with their hands on their hips (ready to do the time warp). Next to the statue is a small alcove to the side of the stage with its own curtain. That is where the narrator is during the show, played by Rachel Dratch.

                                                            Lifelong activist, organizer and educator Denise Oliver-Vélez has died at the age of 78.

                                                            She was a central figure in the civil rights movements of the 1960s and 1970s and was the first woman elected to the Young Lords Central Committee, a radical Puerto Rican human rights group modeled on the Black Panther Party, which Oliver-Vélez was also a member of. She later became the first Black female program director in public radio and taught at SUNY New Paltz.

                                                                              The quality of the build and engineering looks so poor on that Pfizer remodel, so greedy in developers desire to maximize profits, those beams looked thin and made of lead instead of steel.
                                                                              I would never want to move in to it. I’d be so nervous that the whole thing is just a ticking time bomb, built without integrity of any kind.
