It's that time of year again when the sedums start outcompeting the mosses. Always interesting to see. Later in the season, when the days become less sunny, it's the other way around, mosses take over again. The result is an evergreen garden spiral that changes with the light.

I created it years ago, back when I had no gardening experience at all. It's still my favorite feature in my garden. It’s what taught me how to garden, and to enjoy it too!

A close view of a garden. The lay-out was done with bricks laid in a spiral pattern, embedded in the ground. In between, mosses grow, but bigger brightly colored sedums take over their space. They range from lime green to purplish pinks. In the background, larger plants frame the spiral.

    Ellis explains WIP limits

Ellis is stood by the office Kanban board. The board is a solid wall of sticky notes with almost no gaps anywhere to be found.

“We’re all really busy,” Ellis complains. “Yet nothing is getting done!”

Blake looks at the board and sees the WIP limits for the columns have values like 200 and 40.

“Where did you get those WIP limits from?” Blake asks.

“Simple,” Ellis replies. “5 developers and 1 tester, multiplied by 40 hours a week!”

My short film is a revenge fantasy based on Luo mythology, with dance as a magical force. I need your help to make it! Even $1 helps for there's no film market here to support films and the global economy and systems marginalizes us!

I'll share the film free on @dilmandila@video.ploud.jp

There are lots of rewards! my art, short story, novella, short film, graphic novel.
