Eugene and Ken are expanding my horizons once per day. Saturday evening we made our own sushi. Yesterday afternoon we went golfing. They're on a roll! Nyuk nyuk. But seriously, I'm looking forward to today's installment of Have Amitai Try Something New.

Golf is a ludicrous game. Yet I can see the draw. On a 153-yard par 3, I dropped my tee shot right on the green, about 10 feet from the cup. Of course I borked the birdie putt, because I'd already used up my putting karma by sinking long ones on two other holes. But I did make par. A professional golfer might make par on that hole. “I'm Tiger Woods.”

Golf is also an convenient way to spend an afternoon outside with friends while engaging in a modicum of gentle exercise. (Unless you drive a cart. Boo.)
