I'm going to withdraw from Systems Programming. Early on, I thought I'd be able to manage without the prerequisites, but I was wrong. I will be complaining to whoever will listen about the omission of course prerequisites, and trying to get refunded for as much of the course as possible. Next semester has not been discussed yet. I would like to take at least two classes, at least one of which is not related to computers in any way.

My parents will be coming in this weekend! They decided to drive in from Chicago on short notice to spend some time with my sister and me.

Kicking the illness. Feeling better.

I have decided to go off the Atkins Diet. My goal when I started on the diet was to lose enough weight to be able to enjoy exercise, and I have reached this goal. I am still wary of carbohydrates and try to get most of my calories elsewhere, but I eat whatever I need to eat because I am physically active and will burn the calories. It's satisfying to have reached success on the diet, but not as satisfying as playing a good, hard game of Ultimate!
