After being out sick for a few days, I returned to work this morning. Current project is a small Perl program to prepare Comma-Separated Values (CSV) files for import into IBM's Net.Commerce. I finally have a clear specification of what sort of formatting is needed, which helps!
Fumbled my way through a Data Structures test. It was much harder than the first one, probably because it was written by a different professor. But it was harder and I had trouble with it.
Henry (who is in the Data Structures class and plays Ultimate) joined me for a bit of Super-Slow weight training. I had him spot me during my workout and then try a Super-Slow exercise himself. He is interested in trying a full workout. If things pan out, I may have a workout partner as reliable as I did my freshman year, when Martin and I lifted after every Ultimate practice. But I am not getting my hopes up yet.
At Tony's behest, I went to the Spot with Pat and him and enjoyed free nachos, wings, popcorn, and drinks, sponsored by the CWRU Commuter Club. I love commuters! Especially now.
I left the Spot early to join some of the Ultimate team at Strosacker Auditorium to watch the South Park movie (verdict: very funny). Behold, I saw my old friend Zach Simmons, who lived in the room next door my freshman year. Sarcastic, studious, and slim as ever, Evil Zach is still on top of things. I also ran into OhioOnline's own Janelle Laskosky. What was she doing away from the office, wasting time on frivolities? I don't know, but it's a good thing I was on Work Patrol or else she'd have gotten away with it!
The Ultimate clan returned to the Phi Kap house for a small get-together wherein we watched video footage of our performance at various tournaments and practices. Regrettably, a lot of the camera time had been wasted on filming drunken antics that were not funny in the least. Next time I hope we have more Ultimate footage.
I located a picture of the 1998 Cleveland Summer League champions, the Light Blue team, in one of Chris Hung's photo albums. I'm the bald white guy in the middle. Note that I am skinny (in the picture, that is).
