In a daring move, Henry hopped on a bus and joined David J. and me for lunch at Best Steak & Gyros. Henry and David are both strikingly personable, empathetic, and funny, so I was not at all surprised when they hit it off. I like my best friends, if they don't move in the same circles, to at least meet each other. After all, shouldn't people I value highly be interested to meet other people I value highly?
It is my considered opinion that the downtown Best Steak & Gyros is not sufficiently popular among CWRU students. It is possible that this is due to association with the expense and perceived danger of patronizing a similarly named establishment in East Cleveland. However, too many students in need of a nearby 24-hour joint in which to eat and chill are unaware of BS&G, falling back on the old standby Denny's (boring) or perhaps My Friend's (charming, but geographically distant), when they are but a 15-minute drive from some fantastic food, billiards, and video games such as Crazy Taxi.
Played indoor Ultimate at the Euclid Sports Plant. What a workout! Between getting over a flu, not having played in a couple weeks, and changing direction frequently on the small field, I got good and tired. We all went to Muldoon's afterward for nourishment and relaxation. It's easy to have a good time with the right people, and it's good for the soul. Why not call some friends right now?
I've not been sleeping very much lately. Life is too much fun.
