Played football with Josh, Joe, Jimmy, Tony, and Ian on one of the goose-poop-laden Finnigan Fields. We didn't have enough total man-conditioning to play tackle — plus, there was goose poop everywhere — so we played two-hand touch except for kickoff returns. Josh expertly tore small holes in Tony's and my shirts. One wonders if he has mastered proper tackling technique?
We all went home to remove goose poop from every possible bodily location, including internal organs. Continuing my pro bono Best Steak & Gyros campaign, I persuaded Ian to go. He brought along a friend named Duncan who, as it turns out, was in my freshman physics class taught by Doc Brown. Ah, those were the days… not sure which kind of days though. Anyway, Ian impressed me by downing an entire Jumbo Gyro (no onions — “they're not Greek!”), but barely even touched the amazing fries. I love the BS&G fries, so I helped him out there. Ian and Duncan dug the food and the video games. Two more converts! BS&G should give me free food for each new loyal customer I give them.
Thanks to tips from Nathan Arthur and Chris Hung, my resumé is once again current. I think it represents me well. I also updated the design slightly, and tested the HTML and CSS code for compliance with Web-based validators. Thanks be to Nathan for bugging the hell out of me to update it!
The journal search index is now sorted by search term. This means that whenever I get around to implementing a binary search, it will work. (Or at least, when it doesn't work, it won't be due to unsorted input!) Additionally, the current search interface now limits the number of matching entries that will be displayed inline in the search results. More than 5 matching entries, and you get links to read them in a separate page (right now, the month containing each entry).
I did more programming this weekend than I've done in a long time, classes included, and I feel terrific. I love programming!
