I added a little tiny form with which you can let me know that you occasionally (or frequently, or even voraciously) read this journal of mine. There's something in it for you down the road, and it's hardly any effort. Please fill it out if you can.
We had a rush party. The whole of rush operates, of necessity, without alcohol. While fermented fizz primes the pathways to pandemonium, we don't need it in order to enjoy ourselves. But you can bet we lament its forced absence. For example, I was standing on a chair behind the bar to appear inhumanly tall while pouring drinks, which would have been much funnier if people had been so “inclined”.
Once the party died down, the Amitai BS&G Customer Factory experienced a surplus. Dawn, Sarah, Wendy, Melissa, Martha, Chang, and I all got ourselves down there. It was weird: the place was packed, a security guard looked around periodically, and the ordering line was redirected to force payment before receiving food. I prefer the lunch or weeknight ambience to the volatile atmosphere of a late weekend night. Still, I didn't have to wait for anyone to finish playing Crazy Taxi, and I reached a new personal record: $4,406, ranked 21st, Class A driver. Go straight!
