I attempted to work on a straightforward form-emailing CGI program for Peter, but Amherst's CGI environment is severely brain-damaged. I couldn't even get a CGI program to execute (though it worked fine from the command line). Server documentation was incomplete and incorrect. All around, pretty sucky and frustrating.
I went to hear Awadagin in recital at CIM. (Kacy could not be persuaded to join; I think I made too big a deal about which seats to get, instead of simply being there with her.) It was a fantastic recital. Awadagin kicked the ass of Liszt's Piano Sonata in B minor, then played a gorgeous piece (name unknown — I checked with the CIM folks) when the applauding audience demanded more. I live across the parking lot from CIM. I don't go there nearly often enough.
Watched Idle Hands with Frankengabe. A light dark comedy, it was stylish and funny, and very enjoyable to watch.
