Ate at Qué Tal for my second consecutive dinner, this time with Eric and a very hungry Gabe. One time I ate two large burritos in one sitting. I didn't do much the rest of that day. It is unfathomable to Now Me how Then Me could have eaten that much. Curiously, Then Me was not only a bigger eater, but a smaller guy. My metabolism has changed.
For a few years now, Cleveland has held an overnight indoor Ultimate tournament in early February, in honor of Groundhog's Day. CWRU sent a team to tonight's iteration, and I played with them. As usual, I was rusty in the beginning, but got looser and faster as the night wore on. By the morning, I was ready to play lots more! Except that I was rather sleep-tired (contrast with muscle-tired). I hesitate to attribute endurance to myself; instead, I think it's fair to say that it takes me a while to warm up. As always, I need to improve my conditioning so that warming up is faster and endurance is higher, and the quality of my play is more consistent. But Ultimate is fun anyway.
For a late breakfast, “Wacky” Paul Damer, Hot Dog, Hank, Good Nathan, and I went to BS&G. The Crazy Omelet is actually $1 cheaper on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Yum! Nathan happily played Crazy Taxi. It's too bad that, instead of going whenever one pleases, one must now consider the time of day before going to BS&G.
