After a wee three hours of sleep, it became necessary to represent Phi Kappa Theta in intramural bowling at the Euclid-Greens Lanes somewhere in the hood. On a Saturday morning. Yeesh. Chang, Tim, Marc, Al, and I did what we could, but we are not what you would classify as “morning bowlers”. Chang and Tim led high scorers with 160 and 140, respectively. I personally sucked ass rocks. I'd tell you my scores, but I can't count that low.
I wrote a ksh shell function to simplify viewing the latest logfile from my Web server. Then, in a fit of pique, I took a first stab at importing our Phi Kap alumni database from Microsoft Access into MySQL. It worked well enough to somewhat handle basic queries, but I need to learn more about MySQL field types before it will work properly. Eventually, access to the database will be integrated into our Web site.
Craig's annoying hamster kept gnawing noisily at its plastic surroundings. Bybluk and I attempted to discourage this by swatting at it. I swatted too hard and knocked the top piece off the hamster's container — with the hamster still in it! I fumbled quickly to put it back together before the hamster got away through the aperture that would have connected to the tube, had I not introduced an unexpected disparity. A few more seconds of fumbling, and I would have been hamster-hunting all night.
