The weather is way too nice. I wore shorts and a t-shirt to meet David at BS&G for lunch. The conditions enabling such outerwear are anomalous. So I've been thinking about this. According to my admittedly “layman's” understanding of physics, heat is directly proportional to kinetic energy; therefore, by the law of conservation of energy, it must be unseasonably cold in the Bahamas today. Well, not necessarily. Following Einstein's famous equivalence of energy and mass, it could still be warm on Eleuthera if some lucky fat guy just lost that cumbersome flab.
I am on a piano kick. Again I went to Hillel, and again a conflagration of notes erupted in sonorous and lively configurations. It was on the verge of too heavily employing banging, but in concert with the nice tunes it was pleasantly invigorating. This volatile combination more often slights the melody than serves it; in this case it worked out well enough.
Lots of Phi Kaps went to My Friend's after scroll signing, the ceremony in which associate members formally agree to be associate members. If it weren't so far away, it'd be a perfect late-night eatery. Fie on the vicissitudes of geography!
