Lunch at the Euc with Tony and Tall. Flexing my still fresh status as a full adult, I got a yummy “black and tan” (lower half light beer, upper half dark beer) along with my yummy cheeseburger and fries. The Euc is known for its overarching quality as a college hangout, not for its food, but the food is also worthy of note. Afterward, I played the Hillel Steinway entirely without banging, completely relaxed.
For dinner, Dave Carlin and I hit up BS&G, where he played a lot of Crazy Taxi. He digs it perhaps more even than I do, and improved significantly over the course of the dozen or so games he played. I played a pair of shoddy games before taking a deep breath and willing myself to play well. Out came a new personal record: $4455.
Jose of CWRULUG held a small party at his apartment. Dave and I stopped in well after it had started. I got to meet some of the folks whose names I'd seen only on the mailing list. The Frog was there too. As expected, we discussed a lot of geeky topics, but it was surprisingly fun. Jose's machine room was impressive. I have more total computers, but they're mostly ancient, and only a few are actually in use (for electrical reasons).
