Took a cab to work, carting along the requisite computers. Good thing, too, because the LinkSys NAT/DHCP appliance that had been providing our Internet access let out its magic smoke today, and my G3 was pressed into service as a temporary replacement.

Continuing to support my fingers-in-dikes theory, the mail server (which is also the main Web server) stopped accepting connections, because the disk was full. No good! No schmonz.com yet, because we don't yet have a publicly-reachable network. I've been assigned the task of ordering DSL service. That will probably take a long time. I'll have to get the site up some other way in the meantime.

At work late, I avoided the long trip back to Newton by camping out at the office overnight, in a cozy spot in the conference room.
