Woke up later than I intended, but fair's fair: I'd gone to sleep later than I intended, because I'd gotten home from work later than I intended. I got into the office shortly before noon. Mike showed me his grand plans for a documentation system. I really like the idea and the plans. Documentation is going to be very important with all the developers that will be coming on, and for the time when we'll redesign the content-delivery system.
After work, everyone went along to see Road Trip at a theater near Boston University. Someone had made the wish, and as it cost $50 or less, the wish came true. The movie wasn't painfully funny, it was alternately painful and funny. Luckily, I was a teenager recently enough to appreciate some of the humor; else it would have royally sucked. Overall, entertaining, but not great. Don't see it if you're older than I am, or act like it.
It's not reliably warm yet, but it's almost June, and while walking home from the train I realized that the current state of affairs is in agreement with my plans to have been in Boston by summer. This is satisfying. I can't say I've noticed missing my friends either: I can't call them up and go hang out, but I can keep up with them easily using email or online chat (AOL Instant Messenger is better than ICQ, by the way), and some will be visiting me soon. And I'm hoping to get to Highland Park and Cleveland this summer sometime. I frobbed the digital piano before bed, the calm notes reflecting my quiet pleasure.
The Jolt gave me a monthly T pass. Sweet! Now I can start getting my head around Boston.
