This model represents a new style of headphone design wherein the plastic band connecting the earpieces runs behind the head rather than over it, and wherein the earpieces hang on the ears by small rubberish extensions. It's not totally comfortable — the tops of my ears start to feel like they've been in a clamp — but on the other hand, you can easily wear a hat with these, thereby blocking the flow of blood to the ears and preventing the sensation of pain from being transmitted to the brain. Ingenious.
