I've had the Martian Death Flu since Monday evening. Holed out at home, taking NyQuil at the maximum recommended dose and frequency. Yes, even during the day. (DayQuil is for losers.) Shivering and sweating and aching and reading my newest Dave Barry books and trying to sleep until next week. Waking up a few hours later with a new world record for Sweat Generated While Not Moving At All, breaking the previous record set only a few hours ago (also by me). Today I know I'm feeling better for two reasons: 1) I had the presence of mind to get off the NyQuil, and 2) my symptoms have reduced to mainly just the sweating.
If reading this has made you feel uncomfortable, then you obviously have a pretty comfortable life. Rejoice!
