Went to Chicago. It was very relaxing. Even got to meet up with my best friend from college, who just graduated and moved back from Cleveland to Madison. It's not like I hadn't seen him in a while, but now I won't, so it was cool.
We had dim sum in at Won Kow in Chinatown. They offered us spring rolls and BBQ pork, but changed their minds when Gabe's girlfriend started asking them for specific items in Chinese. Mmmm, tripe.
We also took in a wacky evening of improvisational comedy at ComedySportz on the north side. ComedySportz provided the entertainment at my bar mitzvah party. My fond memories are accurate: they're unnervingly quick-witted, and they effortlessly involve the audience in the show. We planned ahead and brought cheap wine (the dustiest sub-$5 bottle we could find) and good beer (a pair of Sam Smith's).
We also also had the family dinner for four at the Parthenon in Greektown. The Parthenon is the best restaurant ever.
Thus, Chicago is good. Q.E.D.
