In the last week I've had lots of practice at work-related responsibilities that are new to me. Selling, being reasonable yet firm, demonstrating my expectations by example. It's neat.
I put a finger on why my job is so cool. My work consists of a mix of things I already know how to do (so I feel efficient) and things I haven't yet mastered (so I feel challenged). Also, most every day I get to teach an ad-hoc lesson or two in a few subjects: communication, persuasion, and something technical. I once held a Case education in low esteem, but I'm finally getting a good one.
