- 9:30 AM: Awoke. Imported old MP3 CDs into iTunes, tagging a bit here and there to aid in iPod navigation.
- 11:30 AM: Conversed on political and philosophical topics with Abby. Her interest had been piqued by my having mentioned at Tuesday night's dinner that I don't vote. Mentioning that is, without fail, a great conversation starter. I think everyone wants to be the one to get me to change my mind. I'm willing to change it, but haven't been persuaded yet.
- 2:00 PM: Showered and computed internetwise.
- 3:30 PM: Adam returns from visiting his grandfolks. Filiberto's and we hit the road for L.A.

- 7:00 AM: Shower and last-ditch computer repair efforts.
- 8:30 AM: Enormous breakfast at IHOP. I reprised my pre-Camelback glorious intake with another Colorado Omelet and the whole-grain/nut pancakes, then went one better by helping Abby with her sausage.
- 10:00 AM: Pointed west on I-20, aiming for Phoenix if at all possible. Gorgeous drive just about the whole way, with the exception of El Paso (Abby hates it). Spanish lesson: did you know that “El Paso” means “The (Male) Paso”? Also, “Paseo del Norte” means “Paseo of the North”. How do I know all this? I'm the U.S. Ambassador to Mexico.
- 10:30 PM: Arrived at Pat's in Tempe.
- 11:00 PM: Arrived at The Library and got to drinking.
- 1:00 AM: Returned to Pat's. Looked through photos taken so far. Everyone conked out.
