- 7:30 AM: Shower and breakfast.
- 9:00 AM: Headed west on I-44 toward Midland, TX.
- 1:30 PM: Having just entered Texas, discovered Whataburger. Triple meat triple cheese. Yum.
- 4:00 PM: Stopped in Seymour, TX for windshield washer fluid. Adam had exhausted his supply rinsing off the bright red remains of a particular bug. I was very surprised to see a sign off the main street advertising “disc golf”. Didn't seem that kind of town at all.
- 9:00 PM: Arrived in Midland and dined at Dona Anita's with Abby's folks. We had been instructed to fear her father's politics, but nothing horrible happened. Except that Abby's car had lots of anti-Bush/pro-Democrat bumper stickers on her car, and we were eating at a restaurant Dubya used to frequent when he lived in Midland, and someone helpfully wrote a note to that effect and placed it on Abby's windshield while we were dining. Soon enough the car will be in California, safe from Bushies.
- 10:30 PM: Arrived at her father's house.
- 11:30 PM: Discovered a horrid mess of spyware on the PC and set about attempting to clear it off.
- 1:30 AM: Sleep.
