Schmonzcast #6: Today's assignment was to harmonize a given melody in the style of a string quartet. The MIDI instrumentation sounds a little brassy — mainly because my understanding of MIDI is rather minimal — but rest assured that what you're hearing are two violins, viola, and cello, wherein the first violin plays the melody assigned by the professor.

Update: If the melody sounds a bit like Haydn, that's because it is. I suppose that saves the professor from having to write an answer key.
